It is the policy of the city government of Tanauan to develop the Physical and social well being of the Tanaueños through skills development and provision of sports and recreational facilities. In so doing, it promotes physical education and encourages sports programs, league competitions and amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to help sports minded people gain self value & esteem, built confidence & determination, and make a successful career in the sports industry.

The present administration sees there is much more that can be done in schools and outside the education system to encourage healthy lifestyles from all walks of life which include a fun, sports element.  For several years now the city government has implemented sports development programs intended for its constituent.

To date, the Jose P. Social events such as the annual ball of I DO Club as well as other social activities are being held in this gymnasium. Furthermore, the gym can be converted to a venue for stage plays and production numbers since it has a stage located at the far end of the building. The building is equipped with eight (8) heavy duty air conditioning units to augment the atmosphere of the place.

The Speaker Jose B.
